Jitsugetsu Byakudan soup bowl set [2pc]

The lacquerware bowl withstands boiling water, salt and acid, and while maintaining the temperature of the dishes inside, you do not feel the heat even if you touch it.

The sun and moon are drawn with metal powder, and a transparent brown lacquer is applied on top of it,  so that the sun and moon can be seen slightly.
The technique is called "Byakudan-nuri" because its texture resembles Byakudan ( sandalwood) tree.
As the years go by, the transparency of the lacquer increases and the pattern becomes even clearer.
