This inkstone box has a beautiful pine tree drawn by a craftsman in gold maki-e.
The motif of the pine tree is based on a design by Korin Ogata, an artist of the Edo period.

The size allows it to be placed in a familiar place, enriching the time spent enjoying calligraphy.

Water pitcher and ink stone are included 

The set includes an inkstone, a water pitcher, and a bottom plate to fit the two pieces together.
All of the contents can be removed and used as a box without partitions.
